Billionairebet

The billionairebet.com online sports betting site has a big name to live up to, especially in a dynamic market like that of Nigeria.

The Nigerian betting market is full of fierce competition with many leading brands competing fiercely. The market share is large though, with the most populous country in Africa enjoying favourite pastimes like sport and betting, and often a combination of the both.

Billionairebet has all the attributes to make a dent in the consciousness of the consumer, but at the moment they are up against international quality sites.

They do boast a virtual play game and a variety of promotions and this is a step in the right direction.

Their marketing strategy is to really take advantage of their domain name and shout it out, with expressive promotions such as the, “Billionaire Shock Absorber”, which is essentially receiving your stake back if one result goes against the punter in a 15-bet combination. The promo says ‘WOW’ but the truth is almost every site in Nigeria give better stake-back options (10 events or even less).

Their second promotion is a ‘refer a friend’ bonus with the new subscriber picking up a 100% first time deposit value.

The site also offers the lowest accumulator bonuses with the maximum billionairebet offers is 20% extra for bets of 15 events of more. Again this is significantly less value than almost all other sites in the country.

The site only offers two banking options for deposit and withdrawal – with Visa and MasterCard the only portals available.

The site looks good from a graphic perspective and this lends credence to the professionalism expected of a large online bookmaker.

The glossary is almost perfect with all terms, conditions, FAQ’s and disclaimers in place.

There is also explanations on how to deposit, withdraw and play.

The site lags well behind the leading contenders and will need to offer more promotions, a sizable jackpot and perhaps a casino if it wants to compete with the big boys.

The lack of a jackpot always annoys me, as the reason many people are bet-enthusiasts is that it allows dreams, and what is life what the dream of changing your circumstances. Jackpots offer that hope, and sometimes even the reality.

The bllionairebet site could at least offer a million Naira as a jackpot.

In comparison to many leading operators this site feels slightly contrived and almost smug. Shakespeare once asked, “What is in a name?” In the sports betting industry it can mean everything.

The VP offers horse-racing, speedway, greyhounds, bike-racing and football and if it was not so slow to upload it would add plenty to a site that promises much, but delivers little.

I wish this site was better suited to its name, especially after reviewing some kick-butt operators with less pretentious names, like Nairabet.

Overall this platform is disappointing – despite my excitement at the domain name.
